It’s tree tapping time and time to start collecting sap for the 28th annual Maple Syrup Festival at Argyle Lake State Park.
At this sweet and sticky event hay rack rides take visitors to the park’s “sugar grove” of maple trees were you’ll find demonstrations of sap collecting, a “sugar shack” where the sap is boiled into syrup, children’s activities and educational displays, concessions, a campfire area where local Boy Scouts read out loud to children and of course maple syrup and maple candy is available.
This year’s event is Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm and is free and open to the general public.
