 rty - Celebration of Life\, Nature\, Animals\, and Connection!\n\nFREE ADM
 ISSION for all of our 2026 Alpaca Beach Parties! Donations are always appr
 eciated but never expected.\n\nExperience 22 alpacas roaming in a free-ran
 ge setting that you can hand feed\, a 2-acre pond you can fish in\, a smal
 l white sand beach filled with toys for the kids\, and more!\n\nThe 19th H
 ole will be joining us this year with all their tasty menu items and delic
 ious drinks\, including "loaded" Lotus drinks for the adults and more!\n\n
 Hickory Ridge Homestead will have Fluff the Angora rabbit (weather permitt
 ed)\, and will also be doing spinning demonstrations\, so you can see how 
 our alpaca fiber is spun into yarn!\n\nPirate Ellie will be offering face 
 painting and will have a special hidden Pirate Treasure\, be sure to check
  back closer to the event for the riddle with clues!\n\nQuesal Puppet Trou
 pe will be performing a special puppet show at 2pm. The Toddy Pop Company 
 will be joining us with balloon twisting & entertainment to make the day e
 xtra fun.\n\nPaint The Sky Blue will have a paint station\, where you can 
 paint different wooden items (frogs\, butterflies\, etc.) for $5-$10\, whi
 ch would make a great handmade gift for a loved one.\n\nWe'll also have a 
 "Nature Creation Station" where you can use natural items found around the
  farm (sticks\, rocks\, fiber\, leaves\, etc.) to create a picture or obje
 ct with glue\, twine\, etc.\n\nDJ Megan will be providing our beach party 
 tunes\, and there will be several other artisans to shop with too - stay t
 uned for the full list of vendors!\n\nCups of grain to hand feed the alpac
 as with will be available for $5/cup\, and we'll have all of our alpaca pr
 oducts for sale in the red shelter.\n\nFishing is allowed\, our pond is st
 ocked with mostly bass\, but there are a few catfish in there somewhere. B
 ring your own fishing pole\, we don't have any available.\n\nThe beach has
  lots of toys for the kids to play with\, this is a family friendly enviro
 nment. There is no swimming in the pond\, but you can still get your feet 
 wet and get water for your sandcastles. We do recommend dressing the kids 
 in swim attire\, and/or bringing extra clothes and a towel\, so they can g
 et wet and have fun in the sand. We've added an additional play area away 
 from the pond\, near the food and vendor area.\n\nPLEASE - No pets\, no sm
 oking\, and no chasing the alpacas. Please be kind and respectful to other
 s. Disinfectant hand wipes & hand sanitizer are available\; there is no ha
 nd sink. We have a sprinkler and a baby pool filled with water for rinsing
  off. There is a handicap accessible port-a-potty.\n\n**Please note\, this
  is not a petting zoo. Alpacas are similar to a timid cat\; they like to g
 et to know you on their own terms. If you insist on trying to pet them bef
 ore you've earned their trust\, they will walk or run away from you - the 
 more you insist\, the more they will retreat. Be patient and let them come
  up to you on their own for the best experience. Hand feeding grain always
  helps with the introduction and will entice them to come up to you.\n\n"G

 f honoring her and my attempt to bring as much joy to the world as she did

 A great way to take an affordable mini vacation that the kids will love! S
 pring Lake in Macomb\, IL also has cabins for rent if you're not a tent ca
 mper and don't have an RV. Spring Lake is approx. 35 minutes from our farm
 . Argyle Lake State Park is approx. 20-30 minutes from our farm. Weinberg-
 King State Fish and Wildlife Area is approx. 20 minutes from our farm.\n\n
 Not a camper? No problem\, Plymouth Rock Roost Bed & Breakfast is just 5 m
 inutes from the farm\, or you can find a few different hotels in Macomb\, 
 IL.
